A Native American community between Suttons Bay and Omena with a casino.

Peshawbestown is about 12.5 acres of land in the the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians reservation, and was originally founded as a mission. The Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church is here, honoring the first Native American saint in the Roman Catholic Church.

The driving feature of this area is the Leelanau Sands Casino, which combines the thrill of gaming with the beauty of northern Michigan. This fantastic little casino offers over 350 slot machines, table games, bingo, and even sports betting kiosks. Enjoy a drink or grab a snack here too. The Lodge has stunning views and relaxing rooms.

Come out to the annual Peshawbestown Pow-Wow to celebrate with native foods, tribal art, and dancing.
